I nearly stopped reading the beginning when the heroine kept referring to her assailant as "the bad guy" as if she were a 5 year old or something, but I'm glad I kept reading. I loved these two characters and their story!!! It had this whole Soc/Greaser vibe with the guy from the wrong side of the tracks theme going for it. It's nothing we haven't heard before, but I think it's worth the $0.99 simply because you feel for these two. Lisa Scott wrote a great little story for us with this one even if it's one that's been told a hundred times already. She puts her own spin on it that I think you'll like.

This book was absolutely amazing! I love reading Lisa Scott books! I read this book in 3 hours! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the full Flirts! collection, but this story was my favorite of the five, so I am reviewing it separately, too. A little sense of crime and danger added excitement to the star-crossed-lovers theme. I agree with one of the other reviewers - this would be an excellent start to a full-length novel.

I usually only get romance books when I can get them free because, once you've read them once, you know you won't want to read them again. But, I am buying these short story collections. I love the way a minor character from one story becomes the main character in the next. In the 5th story of the collection, they all get together for a happy-ever-after scene. The people are average, ordinary people. I haven't come across any oil sheiks, billionaires, or lost royalty. These are romantic stories that you wish your friends and family would experience in real life.
I bought the full Flirts! collection, but I wanted to review this short alone because I love it so much.
This short deals with two people, from two different worlds, who are brought together by fate.

The heroine, Kristen, is very different from the Jane, the star of "The Hot Girl's friend". I didn't think anyone could ever live up to Jane because I absolutely love her character, but I loved Kristen as well. It's great when an author can write two completely different protagonists and have you enjoy both.

Tony is amazing. His individual story is compelling. Kristen and Tony were a wonderful match for one another.
The ending was so sweet, but a part of me wished I could see their assimilation into each other's world. It definitely wasn't vital to the story, but I think I just wanted to know to satisfy my own curiosity.

I loved reading about these two, and selfishly wish it was a full blown novel.

I anxiously await more works from this author!
