First of all this was a great series and I loved all of the books while I have been a fan of the Thoenes The Zion Chronicles series is probably my favorite of the lot. I love all five of the books but what I particularly liked was the story of Sarai although I would have preferred a different conclusion to her story it was still a powerful reminder of the transformative power of Christ. I wish we would have seen more of that attitude in Moshe as we saw in Rachel in fact Moshe was a little annoying in this book but we still love him! The only fault I would find with this book and this series is the tendency to leave loose ends up to the reader. I would have liked a more solid conclusion of David, Ellie, Moshe, and Rachels story lines but alot was left up to the imagination. I must confess I miss the old Bodie and Brock their newer works just don't have the same depth or heart I'm not sure what happened but really in any event in my opinion this is that last truly EPIC series that they wrote.

The Zion Chronicles have brought me even closer to God. I am humbled by the Israelites who bore such a burden and yet brought the State of Israel to life with the help of Yeshua. Thank you Brock and Bodie Thoene for this account of the birth of Israel.

The books have kept me riveted, keeping me up hours passed my bedtime. I was unable to put them down even knowing the ending!
This is the kind. Of historical biblical biblical novels I most enjoy. I am so sad when I finish now back to the search
I have been reading the entire series on the stories of the Jewish struggles from pre-world war 11 through statehood. While this is fiction based on facts it is the way history should be taught. I am learning so much more than I ever did in school because of the story line of following the generations of families.
I am not a reader usually but all if these books have kept my interest.
The way the Thoenes tell the stories makes you feel you are right there with the people in their sorrow, their laughter, and their everyday lives.
The middle east seems to be always in such terrible turmoil, both within their own borders and with the rest of the world. This book conclude the Zion Chronicles by the Thoenes, and the authors stay true to historical events as seent through the eyes of amazing fictional characters, along with actual historical characters and events. I would recommend this series to anyone who would like to try to understand more about how the nation of Israel was begun after WWII. It is absolutey miraculous that Israel survived!
This is such a wonderful series! You just cannot go wrong with any of the Thoene books. Excellent writing and historical perspective!
This is an amazing story! It kept me interested from the begining to the end. I learned a lot about history and it makes me think about the strugles for the jews to have a home land. I love the way the writers presents the humanity of the parts in conflict. Not all rhe arabs, jews and english were all good or bad. They were humans playing a role, fighting for what they think was good for them and their nations. I loved the way Sarai found Jesus, it touched my heart. I felt I was there with her listening to "el kiama". This was an amazing story, I want to read the next saga, I hope is available for kindle, because I am in a foreign country.
Once again a brilliant, well researched historical account I was fascinated to learn more about this little county that is so often in the news Some years ago I borrowed all 5 in the series from a friend and now I am re-reading them but couldn't borrow 4 and 5 and I so much wanted to read them again that I just had to down load them onto my kindle! I would now like to own all 5 as I am sure that I'll want to read them again in few years time.
